Our latest event: Dentsply Sirona Celtra Press

We are thoroughly looking forward to hosting the Dentsply Sirona Celtra Press hands on workshop at our Laboratory on 11th & 12th January 2019. Being part of such a dynamic and fast paced industry, it is imperative that we are continuously educating and training our team of highly skilled technicians on the latest processes in order to retain our reputation as the UK’s premier dental laboratory.

Celtra Press is a new generation of pressable, high strength glass ceramics that produce strong, durable and highly aesthetic restorations. The two day course aims to give a deeper understanding of the unique benefits that Celtra Press offers as well as setting out the different workflows and differences compared to other pressing materials. During this very much ‘hands on’ course, delegates will be waxing, sprueing, investing and pressing as well as focusing on framework preparation. On day two the team will also have the opportunity to layer a three unit bridge with Celtra Ceram and be individualization staining one premolar with DS Universal stains.

The course will be delivered by highly acclaimed dental technician and president of the Dental Laboratory Association, Steve Campbell. Having worked in dentistry for over 23 years and pioneering several new industry developments, Steve Campbell may be a name that you are already familiar with. He works as part of a small but vastly skilled team providing solutions for all aspects of restorative dentistry. Steve has built a strong reputation for himself working on CAD/CAM and beta testing work for implant and milling companies that have products in the pre release phase for the UK and Europe. He has lectured on digital implant solutions throughout the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden focusing on the benefits of CAD/CAM, including a talk at The Dentistry Show, the ADi National Members forum, and more recently, the Digital Focus Day. Steve also writes articles for online publications both in the UK and USA, and has had articles published in Implant Dentistry Today and the EDi Journal.

The team are excited to be kicking off 2019 with this fantastic course and look forward to welcoming Steve Campbell and his team to our laboratory for what we are sure will be an interactive and educational course. This is just one of several events that we have in the pipeline for next year and we will be sure to share further details and updates on these in due course.
